Rafael S??nchez was born in Havana, Cuba in 1960. He currently lives and works in New York City. A painter and multimedia artist, S??nchez presents theatrical, stylized performances with elaborately costumed characters telling absurd tales. S??nchez has presented public events, exhibitions, performances in shipping offices, pizzerias, dental clinics, delis, and on rooftops. His performances have been featured nationally, including Revolver, PARTICIPANT INC, New York; Not a Pretty Girl, ONI Gallery, Boston; Les Fleurs de Vents, Fruit Farm Festival, McMinnville, Oregon; The Libation Bearers, Thread Waxing Space, New York; and internationally with Dark Pearl, Armada Festival, Nijmegen, Holland.
