

Born in Seoul, Korea in 1967, Koo Jeong-A lives and works in Paris. Jeong-A??™s dreamy and haunting installations of every day materials, such as pencils, coins and aspirins, are often strategically placed throughout a gallery, the space they are given working to enhance the meaning, inviting the viewer to look for the beauty of these familiar objects. She has had solo shows at the ICA, London (2004); Moderna Museet Projekt, Stockholm (1998); CCA Kitakyushu Project Gallery, Japan (2003); and Yvon Lambert, Paris (2001 and 2003). Her first solo show in New York was at TRANS>area in conjunction with Yvonne Lambert (2001). She has been included in the Liverpool, Kwangju and Venice Biennales and in group shows at the ICA, Boston; and Mus?©e d??™Histoire de la Ville de Luxembourg.
