Born in Chicago in 1969, American post-classical composer Jim O??™Rourke has been a key component in the increasing overlap of the American and European experimental music avant-garde. Working across multiple genres, O??™Rourke has worked with Derek Bailey, Eddie Pr?©vost, Nic Collins, Henry Kaiser, Voice Crack, Evan Parker, G??nter M??ller, The Red Krayola and with David Grubbs in Gastr Del Sol. His work includes multiple projects as producer, and a major reconfiguration of Wagner??™s Das Rheingold. O??™Rourke records under his own name, and as a member of Sonic Youth.
