ANNIKA ERIKSSON

Annika Eriksson was born in 1956 in Sverige, Sweden and works in Berlin and Stockholm. Eriksson addresses different social situations in which people come together, from a Swedish amateur postmen??™s band to the ???Repente??™ rappers from traditional Brazilian street culture. She focuses on human interaction and creates platforms for others. For Frieze Art Fair, London in 2004, Eriksson placed an advertisement to stage a five-day talent show, and selected from diverse applicants, which included Bollywood dancing and the British Rebirth Society. Eriksson??™s work has been shown internationally, including Hamburger Bahnhof, Berlin; Herning Kunstmuseum, Denmark; Platform, Istanbul; Kunstverein Munich; Museum Kunstpalast D??sseldorf; Goldsmiths College, London; and Moderna Museet Projekt, Stockholm.
